Poor Puppy...

Well, the last couple of LJ entries that I’ve tried to make have all disappeared into the ether of seemingly self refreshing web pages, so this time I will write it out first in Word and then copy/paste it into my LJ. At this point, I’ve only had about three hours of sleep as I was hastily awoken this morning (VERY EARLY) to watch the dog. Now the dog has only been with us since December 23, she is a Christmas present for lilBit, and already she is making life infinitely more interesting. I call her Pookichu, MiniMom calls her Pooters and lilBit just growls at us, “that’s not her name!” It’s funny. She’s a little two year old dachshund mix with so much energy it’s ridiculous. We’re thinking she might enjoy doing agility training. Last night and today though, her energy is from a whole other source. Yes, today she is all hopped up on cookies and Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans. She got into them some time last night and has been revisiting them all over the floor ever since this morning. Poor lil thing. No wonder she couldn’t sit still at all last night. She had more caffeine in her little body than she knew what to do with.

Anyhoo, so since MiniMom and lilBit have to go sing at Church this morning, I pull doggie sick duty. I’m such a good Auntie. I have to say though, I am her least favourite person. Not that she dislikes me, she doesn’t, but she merely loves me while she absolutely adores everyone else. I don’t mind it. Our personalities aren’t compatible really which is why she’s lilBit’s dog and not mine. Meanwhile, the puppy I fell in love with was adopted by a very nice family. I’m happy for her.

I hope MiniMom and lilBit get home soon. I’m tired and I have hives. When I get a puppy of my very own, I think I should aim for a silky haired longer coated dog. Because, I really don’t have good luck with the short haired dogs. I think it’s the oil in their fur.

Well, TeddyBro is home and has agreed to watch over the Pookichu. Yay!!! I’m going back to sleep.
